Måneskin & Duncan Laurence make Spotify’s global chart of 2021

Spotify Wrapped dropped for the entire world over December 1-2, and music fans from all walks of life enjoyed sharing their listening stats for the year. Two Eurovision winners made Spotify’s Global Chart made up of all listeners combined, with Måneskin making the top 10 with their cover of “Beggin'”.

Spotify Charts posted a tweet that shows their top 10 of the year. This included “Beggin'”, one of Måneskin’s most enduringly popular hits.

“Beggin'” smashed global charts this year along with their other hits, “I Wanna Be Your Slave” (which appears at #34) and Eurovision winner “Zitti E Buoni”.

Måneskin also appear on some country-specific charts, with “I Wanna Be Your Slave” beating out “Beggin'” on the playlist appearing for users in the UK and Ireland, at #22 and #27 respectively. These two were Måneskin’s two top 10 hits in the UK this year.

They had a big impact in their home country as well, with all three of the above hits in Italy’s top 50.

Duncan Laurence also makes an impact

Meanwhile, 2019 winner “Arcade” by Duncan Laurence got a new lease of life this year, proving to be an enduring streaming hit after going viral on TikTok in late 2020. It finishes the year at #44 on Spotify’s Global chart.
