Melodi Grand Prix 2024 participants revealed!

NRK, the Norwegian broadcaster, have revealed the complete lineup for Melodi Grand Prix 2024. The competition will feature 18 participants competing across three semi-finals. Three from each will advance to the grand final to compete for the chance to represent Norway at the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest in Malmö, Sweden.

NRK will be taking Melodi Grand Prix back to it’s beginnings when the semi-finals take place at NRK’s own studio at Marienlyst in Oslo. The studio hosted the very first Melodi Grand Prix in 1960. Nora Brockstedt became the first winner of the competition with the song Voi-voi, which went on to finish 4th at the 1960 Eurovision Song Contest in London. The grand final will take place at the Trondheim Spektrum.


Semi-final 1: Saturday 13 January

  • Gothminister – We Come Alive
  • Frederik Halland – Stranded
  • Mathilde SPZ ft. Chris Archer & Slam Dunk – Woman Show

Semi-final 2: Saturday 20 January

  • Gåte – Ulveham
  • Erika Norwich ft. Super Rob – My AI
  • Mileo – You’re Mine
  • Eli Kristin Hanssveen – Touch Of Venus
  • Anne Fagermo, Dag Erik Oksvold – Judge Tenderly of Me
  • Farida – Heartache

Semi-final 3: Saturday 27 January

  • Keiino – Damdiggida
  • Miia – Green Lights
  • Annprincess – Save Me
  • Thomas Jensen -Take Me To Heaven
  • Mistra – Waltz of Death
  • Vidar Villa – MER

Norway at the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest

Alessandra won Melodi Grand Prix 2023 with the song “Queen of Kings”. She went on to finish in 5th place at the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool, United Kingdom. The performance scored 268 points – 216 from the public and 52 from the jury.
