Croatia, Malta, Lithuania, Russia, Albania, Norway, The Netherlands, North Macedonia and Azerbaijan are rehearsing today at the Expo Tel Aviv

ESCXTRA.com are live in Israel at the Expo Tel Aviv press centre for day 4 of rehearsals ahead of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019! The countries rehearsing today, in chronological order, are Croatia, Malta, Lithuania, Russia, Albania, Norway, The Netherlands, North Macedonia and Azerbaijan.

Below, you’ll see our written review of each rehearsal. If you want more, you can follow our live stream from the press centre at the Expo Tel Aviv by visiting our home page. There, you can watch our immediate reactions to every single rehearsal.

Furthermore, read our handy guide for a more detailed look at this contest’s rehearsal schedule.

Rehearsing right now inside the Expo Tel Aviv is Michela, performing “Chameleon” for Malta. We will continue to update this article as each run through takes place, so make sure to keep refreshing for the most up-to-date review!

Malta has brought their own LED panels to the stage and Michela and her dancers are spending most of the performance in their own LED world. These include an underwater world, a more tropical jungle backdrop and a city skyline. On the chorus the screens only show different colours.

The performance opens with Michela dancing in a window and later the viewers are being brought in through it. The four dancers join her quickly.

Only before the last chorus we get the first wide shot of the whole arena and the dancers get on front of the stage.

Vocally Michela is good, but the backing vocals could be louder. She is also dancing more than we expected. We also just learned that Junior Eurovision winner Destiny Chukunyere is Michela’s off-screen backing vocalist!

Stay tuned for our reviews for the rest of today’s rehearsals here at the Expo Tel Aviv. If you want to know what to expect for the rest of the day, check out our rehearsal schedule. Meanwhile, remember to tune in to our live stream from the press centre, via our home page, for instant reactions to each rehearsal!
