Tel Aviv 2019

Nadav Guedj to open Eurovision 2019 Grand Final

I already know what you're thinking...

He’ll finally show us Tel Aviv! Israel’s 2015 representative Nadav Guedj has been confirmed to be one of the opening acts for this year’s Grand Final.

Many local talents lined up

With a host of many different acts performing, either from the host country or abroad, this year’s Eurovision is guaranteed to be one big party. Nadav, who represented Israel back in 2015, will join Eurovision winners Netta and Dana International in opening the Grand Final. He will, of course, perform his iconic entry “Golden Boy”.

It has also been confirmed that Netta will perform her new single “Nana Banana”. While Dana International will sing “Tel Aviv” and a new version of her 1998 winning entry “Diva”.

Making an entrance

Israel certainly know how to put a show on this year. It has been reported that the Grand Final will begin with Netta becoming the pilot of a plane that will land on stage at the Expo Tel Aviv arena. This will be followed by this year’s participants making their way to the stage to take part in the opening flag ceremony.

Nadav in Eurovision 2015

Aged just 16 at the time, Nadav Guedj was selected to represent Israel in Austria with the song “Golden Boy”. It became Israel’s first ever entry to be sung completely in English. Nadav took Israel to the Grand Final and finished 9th with 97 points.
