Sebastian’s vocals are really strong today and much improved compared to the national final performance. It’s very slick with clever use of the LED backdrop to carry off the “magic trick” in which the dancer disappears from the podium to the LEDs and then reappears once again.

There are a few more shots of Darude this time round but the focus is definitely on the relationship between Sebastian and his female dancer. This is a wise decision as it removes dead camera time, something Gromee struggled with for Poland last year.

My first memory of watching the Eurovision Song Contest was back in 2001 and, over the years, my passion and enthusiasm for the contest has very much turned into an obsession. I adore music and I love geography, so this contest is a natural fit for me. If la la loving Eurovision was a crime, I'd certainly be a criminal!
