Rehearsal review

Rehearsing right now inside the Rotterdam Ahoy is Barbara Pravi, performing “Voilà” for France. We will continue to update this article as each run through takes place, so make sure to keep refreshing for the most up-to-date review!

Barbara is dressed in her classic black outfit and sports her signature hairstyle. The performance starts very dark with a focus on Barbara in front of her microphone and this stays the same during the whole three minutes. We get to see similar graphics as in the national final, for example her shadow appearing on the LED in front of her which then turns into birds flying away.

Towards the end, the camerawork becomes a little bit more unstable, but in a controlled way. We also get a touch of colour with some red and yellow touches. This perfectly conveys the emotion that Barbara presents and shows her inner fight. Even though this is just a first rehearsal, Barbara is giving it her all and delivers a tears inducing performance. The show ends with a close-up shot of Barbara shouting “Voila!” and her hands up to the sky. Unfortunately, we did not get to see another run through.

Rehearsal video clip

We will update the article, once the EBU has uploaded the rehearsal video clip on the official Eurovision channel.
