Darude remixes “Limits” by PÆNDA

"I feel honoured, that he was inspired by my song and I think it’s a cool remix."

It may well be Eurovision’s most unlikely collaboration this year but Darude has given the Austrian entry, “Limits” by PÆNDA his signature treatment!

The Darude remix of “Limits” by PÆNDA has been released today.

“In PÆNDA’s vocal delivery and also in the background vibes, there was something that was talking to me”

This collaboration began when the two artists met in Amsterdam for Eurovision in Concert. PÆNDA explained:

“I met Darude in Amsterdam. I knew him because of his hit Sandstorm and then he approached me and told me, that he liked my song “Limits” and that he wanted to do a remix of it. And I was like, did he really say that or am I dreaming. I feel honoured, that he was inspired by my song and I think it’s a cool remix.”

In describing the reasons behind Darude’s interest in “Limits”, he describes that the vocal delivery and delicate instrumentation inspired him to create this remix of the song:

“What PÆNDA and I do is quite different, but that didn’t matter much to me. I’ve always thought of music not in terms of genres and styles – I like music when it’s emotional and energetic. In PÆNDA’s vocal delivery and also in the background vibes, there was something that was talking to me. That’s why I decided to go for the remix.”

Darude and PÆNDA sat down together and talked about their collaboration in a little video, sent to us from Wohnzimmer Records, and you can see what they had to say about the remix below:

“Limits” will be performed by PÆNDA ninth in semifinal 2, representing Austria, and “Look Away” by Darude feat. Sebastian Rejman will be performed third in semifinal 1, representing Finland.
