Rehearsing right now inside the Expo Tel Aviv is Michela, performing โChameleonโ for Malta . We will continue to update this article as each run through takes place, so make sure to keep refreshing for the most up-to-date review!
Firstly, remind yourselves what happened in the first rehearsal:
And now here is what weโve noticed in todayโs second rehearsal:
In terms of changes from first to second rehearsal, Malta certainly have the most of any nation. They have now dropped the LED screen props, and are now using the massive LED backdrop instead. It is still mostly filmed as a music video, but the wider stage and arena is now visible more often.
Michela and her four dancers are now all in white casual clothing that contrasts well with the constantly changing, brightly coloured backdrops. The lighting on the backing dancers changes at times so they blend in with the backdrop.
Michela looks extremely happy and confident throughout this performance, and we have several overlays of rain, fish and fireflies that give this such a fresh feel. This is what a massive pop performance in 2019 should look like, congratulations Malta.
As soon as the official Eurovision YouTube channel uploads a video of todayโs second rehearsal, we shall embed it right here for you to watch!
