Tel Aviv 2019

Miki: “I play the Eurovision CD in my car” [interview]

After his rehearsals, Spain’s Miki sat down to answer our viewers’ questions. He told us what happens after Eurovision, which are his favourite Eurovision songs this year and how the rehearsals went back in Spain.

“I already recorded my next single”

Straight after winning the Eurovisión Gala of Operación Triunfo, Miki started to work out to make sure he doesn’t get exhausted during his very challenging choreography. This sadly meant no candy, no sweets, no fat. But after the final, Miki will eat anything he wants!

Miki, who has also made many friends from this year’s contestants, also seems to love their songs too. He names Belgium’s “Wake Up”, Italy’s “Soldi”, France’s “Roi” and Sweden’s “Too Late for Love”. He also says that he is playing the Eurovision CD in his car. He is just like one of us!

He has been working on his album over the past couple of months and he reveals that he has recorded his next single already and is hoping it will come out few weeks after Eurovision.

Sami Luukela

I started watching Eurovision back in 2006, when I was only 10 and couldn't stay up to see Lordi winning. I attended my first contest in 2013 in Malmö. I'm studying journalism and I love music — you will probably never see me without my headphones on.
