Tel Aviv offered us another exciting live show, and now we have the final 10 countries that qualified for the Grand Final! They join the ten qualifiers from the first semi-final, the Big 5 and host country Israel.
The qualifiers
The ten countries who made it to Saturday’s final, revealed in a random order are:
- North Macedonia
- The Netherlands
- Albania
- Sweden
- Russia
- Azerbaijan
- Denmark
- Norway
- Switzerland
- Malta
End of the road for eight countries
Sadly, alongside the joy of the ten qualifiers comes the disappointment of the eight countries who did not advance to Saturday’s show. They are: Armenia, Ireland, Moldova, Latvia, Romania, Austria, Croatia, Lithuania.
North Macedonia returns to final for the first time since 2012 and Switzerland for the first time since 2014 and Malta after an absence of three years. The Netherlands and Sweden continue with their solid qualification records of recent years. Armenia, Romania and Croatia fail to qualify for the second year in a row and Latvia for the third.
Drawing halves
Shortly, countries will pick the half of the show in which they will perform on Saturday, during the winners’ press conference. After Semi 1 and Big 5 and Israel, 3 spots remain for the second half and 7 for the first half of the show.
