Winner of Eurovision 2015, Måns Zelmerlöw, is in Tel Aviv to perform as the interval act in this years Eurovision Song Contest 2019. During the time of his stay, we had the pleasure to speak with him about his new music, his Eurovision experience and what else is currently going on in his life. You can watch the video below and on YouTube or read what we chatted about.
“I always love to sneak in to Eurovision somehow”
Måns just arrived in Tel Aviv and already fell in love with it. As he is already been through the whole Eurovision process he can connect with the artists on a way different level and can imagine what they are going through. He remembers that he especially enjoyed the time being alone during Eurovision, as there are so many people around you and you need some downtime during this ride. Even though the two weeks in Vienna were very stressful, he still remembers them very much calls it two of the loveliest weeks of his life.
Måns also has a special connection with one of the acts this year, Victor Crone, who is singing for Estonia. He was rooting for Victor and is looking forward to catching up with him.
Måns said that he always will prefer being an artist and not, for example, take over Christer Björkman’s job after he retired from it. As an artist, he also tries to always try new stuff. You can see this when he will perform “Fuego” this Saturday in his own version. Still Fuego and still 100% Måns!
Today he also released two new songs. You can check them out in the article below:
More music will follow soon-ish! Måns said, that he plans to release a brand new album in October. “Perfectly Damaged”, his last album, was released in 2015 after winning Eurovision. He describes his new album as very honest. For it, he worked with British songwriters, who didn’t know his background so came with fresh ideas for new music.
He also hopes to come on his third European tour later this year. He currently works on a schedule and also has some concerts coming up later this year next to the tour. In his message to you, he said, that he hopefully sees all of you very soon.
