RTSH has confirmed the Albanian participation in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019. Albania will use once again Junior Fest to select their entry. The broadcaster will be open for submissions in September 2nd-4th. The show will take place in Tirana, and will decide the Albanian representative in Gliwice, Poland.
Junior Fest
The show was launched in 2017, and has since then been used to select the Albanian entries in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. In the past two editions the show featured sixteen competing acts. In 2017 Ana Kodra won the competition and represented Albania in Tbilisi. The year after it was Efi Gjika who won the right to represent the country in Minsk with the song “Barbie”. At the Junior Eurovision they placed 13th and 17th, respectively. Tirana will host the competition this year, but the date is still unknown.
