Following onto it’s success in Tel Aviv in Eurovision 2019, The Netherlands is turning it’s eye towards it’s younger talent for Junior Eurovision 2019.
Dutch broadcaster AVROTROS has revealed the 12 entrants who will compete in four acts at the final of Junior Songfestival 2019 on September 28.
The winners of the contest will represent The Netherlands in Gliwice-Silesia, Poland, in November.
The four acts are:
- Amy, Gioia, Idaila, Noa, Roxy and Yosina
- Matheu
- Luuk, Tess, Max and Miencke
- Mannes
AVTROTROS announced the four acts on its Junior Songfestival YouTube channel, which you can watch below:
Each act will now work on their entry for the Junior Songfestival final. The names of both groups will be chosen via Instagram, similar to the last two years.
The girl group is the first six-piece group in history to take part in Junior Songfestival.
The contest will take place on September 28 at Theater Hanzehof, which has hosted the contest previously. Tickets for the final are available here.
Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019
Young representatives of European nations will take to the stage at Arena Gliwice, Poland, on November 24.
One of the largest sports and entertainment venues in Poland, the arena “boasts incredible facilities”, offering a 17,000-person capacity and ease of access.
Netherlands in Junior Eurovision Song Contest
Max and Anne represented the Netherlands at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest last year. Their song “Samen” earned a total of 91 points, finishing in 13th place. While the juries only gave it 23 points, it was 6th most liked by the televote with 68 points.
The Netherlands have won the contest once in 2009 with Ralf Mackenbach and the song “Click Clack”.
