Brooke Scullion will represent Ireland at Eurovision 2022. Tonight, the Irish broadcaster for the Eurovision Song Contest, RTÉ, ran their national final ”Eurosong” on The Late Late Show and after the juries’ and televoters’ scores were added together, they chose 22-year old Brooke as their representative in Turin. She will sing “That’s Rich” to fly the Irish flag at Eurovision 2022.
About Eurosong 2022
For the first time since 2015, Ireland selected their entry for Eurovision via a national final – marking a return of Eurosong, again as part of The Late Late Show. 320 songs were submitted to RTÉ for the selection. Six songs took part in the show. The winning entry was eventually selected by a combination of a national studio jury, international jury and public vote. The eventual results caused quite a stir…

In the table below, you can see how the votes went for Eurosong 2022. The biggest upset came from the Irish jury themselves, who ranked eventual winner Brooke second to last. Their winner, Janet Grogan, in return finished second to last with televoters. “That’s Rich” managed to win both the international jury as well as the televote, handing Brooke the victory. Former Eurovision entrant Brendan Murray finished in last place.

Following the semifinal allocation draw in Turin, Ireland will perform in the second half of the second semifinal at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. Brooke will then represent them with “That’s Rich”, hoping to bring Ireland their first final since 2018 and their first top ten since 2011. Last year, Ireland finished in last place in their semi with “Maps” by Lesley Roy.
