Following the success of ‘She Got Me‘, The 2019 Swiss’ entrant, Luca Hänni, was invited to perform the track at the 2019 MAD VMA Awards. The event took place at the Faliro Sports Pavilion Arena in Greece.
Luca did not perform solo however, as he was joined on stage by up and coming Greek artist Vangelis Kakouriotis. Shortly after taking to the stage, the 22 year old added a twist on the track, with a verse performed entirely in Greek.
Will we see Vangelis in 2020?
Vangelis was heavily rumoured by the Cypriot press as a potential candidate to represent the country at the 2019 contest. Not only is he signed to the same label as Eleni Fouriera, but he himself has expressed an interest to fly the country’s flag one day.
It’s also worth noting that last year, Tamta joined the 2018 Czech representative, Mikolas Josef, on stage at the 2018 VMA Awards to perform an exclusive VMA version of Lie To Me.
Luca wins Swiss Influencer Award
Luca has much to smile about as he was recently awarded the International Infuencer award at presigious Swiss Influencer Awards ceremony. This comes shortly after the news that ‘She Got Me’ had reached Platinum status in Switzerland, after selling over 20,000 copies.
Could this be a sign of things to come? Let us know in the comments what you thought of Luca’s performance and whether you would be happy to see Vangelis at the contest one day?
