The Georgian broadcaster, GPB, officially kicked off the search for their 2020 entry. The show Georgian Idol will be used again as the format to select the entry for the upcoming Eurovision Song Contest 2020. Applications are open and more details to be revealed at a later date.
Georgian Idol to be used again in 2020
Just last year, Georgia used Georgian Idol premiered in Georgia and was used to find the entry for the country in 2019. For the 2020 entry, the show will be used again. The winner will represent Georgia in The Netherlands in 2020.
GPB now opened the application process for the next season of the show. Interested singers can now apply to compete and maybe represent Georgia in the next Eurovision Song Contest. The form can be found here. Details about the exact process will be revealed at a later date.
Oto Nemsadze represented Georgia this year in Tel Aviv with the song “Keep On Going”. He finished 14th in the first semi-final with 62 points.
