Chanel Dilecta will represent Italy at Junior Eurovision 2022

Chanel's entry "BLA BLA BLA" will be released next week.

Earlier today, Rai announced that Chanel Dilecta will represent Italy at Junior Eurovision in Yerevan next month. Chanel is the 16th and final participating artist to be announced.

According to JuniorEurovision.tv, Chanel’s entry “BLA BLA BLA” will be released next week.

Chanel has studied singing and ballet since the age of 4, along with the piano and modern dance. She is no stranger to international competitions, having participated in TMF (Tour Music Fest) 2021, the Italian Performer Cup (2021) and The Coach Contest.

Besides music and performance, Chanel designs jewellery, reads, knits, and enjoys solving Rubik’s Cubes.

She lives in the small town of Thiene with her family (including her toothless dog, Rambo).

Junior Eurovision 2022

The 2022 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held on December 11th in the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex in Yerevan, Armenia. This is the second time that Yerevan is hosting the contest, after previously having this honour in 2011. A total of 16 countries will ‘Spin The Magic’ later this year. Italy in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest

Back in 2014 the Mediterranean nation made their Junior Eurovision Song Contest debut in Malta with Vincenzo Cantiello and the entry, ‘Tu primo grande amore’. A successful start resulted in victory at the first attempt with 159 points. Thus Italy is the only country besides Croatia in the first edition, to win on their debut.

Last year Italy selected Elisabeth Lizza with, ‘Specchio (Mirror On The Wall)’ for the Paris final. During the contest she placed 10th overall with 107 points.
