Wales: “Chwilio am Seren” star Gracie Jayne a favourite to win next weekend’s The Voice Kids UK final

...according to superstar coach Jessie J after tonight's semi-final!

Over the past few weeks, some of you may have been following the progress of “Chwilio am Seren” finalist Gracie Jayne Fitzgerald on the latest season of The Voice Kids UK. Following tonight’s semi-final, Gracie Jayne was selected as one of the final four to battle out in next weekend’s live final!

Wales searched for a star

Gracie Jayne became known to Junior Eurovision fans last September as she starred throughout the Welsh Junior Eurovision selection process “Chwilio am Seren – Search for a Star”. In the live final, Fitzgerald placed equal fourth, narrowly missing out on representing Wales in the 2018 Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The honour went to Manw Lili Robin who performed “Perta” in Minsk.

“The best performance of the night”

Not one to give up, Gracie Jayne turned up on the blind auditions of this season’s edition of The Voice Kids UK. Her audition of “Golden Slumbers” earned her a place on Pixie Lott’s team. After winning a battle against two other contestants in round two, Gracie Jayne was one of Pixie’s three semi-finalists in tonight’s show.

The Welsh star performed a cover of Jimmy Cliff’s “Many Rivers to Cross”. Afterwards, fellow coach Jessie J praised Gracie’s performance as the best of the entire semi-final. Pixie went on to choose Gracie Jayne as her finalist for next week’s live final, a final which she surely goes into as favourite following Jessie’s comments!

You can support Gracie Jayne in next week’s live final of The Voice Kids UK when it takes place on Saturday, July 27th at 8pm on ITV1 (subject to change). ESCXTRA.com wishes you the best of luck!

My first memory of watching the Eurovision Song Contest was back in 2001 and, over the years, my passion and enthusiasm for the contest has very much turned into an obsession. I adore music and I love geography, so this contest is a natural fit for me. If la la loving Eurovision was a crime, I'd certainly be a criminal!
