Earlier this week it was confirmed that RTSH would once again use Festivali i Këngës to select Albania’s entry for the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. Now, local reports suggest that Arilena Ara could be preparing herself to take part.
Working on an entry in the US?
According to City News Albania, citing prive.al, Arilena is working on a brand new track in the United States which will be presented in December at Festivali i Këngës. The article goes on to clarify that winning this would earn Arilena the right of representing Albania in The Netherlands next May.
An Albanian star
Rising to fame as the winner of the second season of X Factor Albania, Arilena has been one of the biggest stars to be produced by the nation in recent years. In 2016, Nëntori placed third in Kenga Magjike before finding success across other nations across Southern and Eastern Europe.
Coaching young talent
Still only 21-years-old, Arilena was a coach on the 2019 season of The Voice Kids Albania. Replacing former Eurovision star Eneda Tarifa on the panel, she placed second with her act Anisa Shabani.
