Sveriges Radio has revealed the eight finalists for P4 Nästa. One of these artists will get a chance to compete in Melodifestivalen 2020, Sweden’s national selection for Eurovision 2020.

- Amanda Aasa – “Gå hem”
- Zulueta – “King of the ocean”
- Tova Glyt – “No ordinary girl”
- Tim Lööv – “All i need is you”
- Browsing Collection – “Oh no”
Last year The Lovers of Valdaro were selected from P4 Nästa to compete in Melodifestivalen 2019. Eventually they finished last in the third semifinal of the contest with their song “Somebody Wants”.
Since 2012, one artist from P4 Nästa (previously Svensktoppen nästa) has been selected to compete in Melodifestivalen. None of these artists have managed to qualify from their semifinal to the next rounds. The best result by P4 Nästa artist has been fifth in the semifinal by SMILO in 2016 and Terese Fredenwall in 2013.
The final of P4 Nästa will take place on August 24th. You can listen to the songs competing at the final here. The song by the selected artist won’t be their song at next year’s Melodifestivalen.
