Are The Roop returning to Eurovision in 2022?

Lithuanian band The Roop managed to get an 8th place at the Eurovision Song Contest this year with “Discoteque”, Lithuania’s best result since 2006. Similarly, the band was predicted to do very well after they won Pabandom iš naujo! in 2020 with “On Fire”, rising to a consistent top 3 placing in the betting odds. Now, it is speculated that the band may want another shot at fulfilling the prophecy of LT United: “We Are The Winners”.

Omygodable

The Roop, consisting of Vaidotas Valiukevičius, Robertas Baranauskas, and Mantas Banišauskas, have released their new song “Omygodable” today. The song is similar to their previous Eurovision entry, catchy and upbeat, with a bit of a playful tone to it. Vaidotas explains the name of the song as follows:

“The name of the song is a new, rarely encounterable word, defining a person or a phenomenon if you see which you would say: “Oh My God”! In this clip the viewer wanders through world famous artworks which are interpreted in a contemporary context. I believe the music video really turned out ohmygodable”

However, the title of the video shows something interesting: besides the band’s name and the song title, it says “(Eurovision 2022)”. Fans have started speculating that The Roop may be participating in the Lithuanian national final again. Check out the video below to listen to the song and see the (possibly) teasing title of the video.
