Oklahoma wins inaugural American Song Contest

The inaugural American Song Contest has come to it’s conclusion, and we have a winner – it’s Oklahoma!

Oklahoma’s representative AleXa has stormed to victory with her song “Wonderland”.

Despite finishing sixth with the juries, AleXa comfortably won the televote to take the win from Colorado’s Riker Lynch and Kentucky’s Jordan Smith.

AleXa (real name Alex Christine) was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, but moved to Seoul, South Korea at the age of 21 to pursue her K-pop career.

This week’s Grand Final sees the culmination of the inaugural American Song Contest, which saw all 50 states of the USA, plus the six territories, battle it out for the Best Original song.
