Turin 2022🇭🇷 Croatia

Dora 2022 entries to be released on February 10

For the first time since the return of Dora, the full songs will be released before the live final!

This week, the Croatian broadcaster HRT announced the running order for Dora 2022, which is scheduled to take place on February 19 in Opatija. The winner of the show will go to Turin to represent Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. For the first time since the return of Dora, the full songs will be released before the live final!

Today, HRT have announced that the entries of Dora 2022 will be premiered in full on February 10 via Svijet diskografije on HR 2, and will then be available to stream on the HRT website afterwards. This marks the first time since the return of Dora in 2019 that the competing entries will be released in full before the show. In previous years, Dora was among the only selections to only release snippets of the entries before the live show. Both Slovenia’s EMA and Sweden’s Melodifestivalen also follow this format. Meanwhile, Italy’s Sanremo doesn’t even release snippets before the live show!

About Dora 2022

Like the 2021 edition, fourteen entries have been selected (plus four reserves). HRT, the Croatian Music Union, and the Croatian Society of Composers selected the songs. The winner, and therefore Croatia’s entry for Turin, will be determined by public televoting and a jury.

Six performers are now allowed in each performance, a number that has increased from 2021, where pandemic restrictions reduced it to five.

The running order is as follows

  1. Mila Elegović – “Ljubav” (eng.: Love)
  2. Mia Negovetić – “Forgive Me (Oprosti)”
  3. Marko Bošnjak – “Moli za nas” (eng.: Pray for us)
  4. Jessa – “My Next Mistake”
  5. Zdenka Kovačiček – “Stay on the Bright Side”
  6. Tina Vukov – “Hideout”
  7. Roko Vušković – “Malo kasnije” (eng.: A little later)
  8. Bernarda – “Here for Love”
  9. Erik Vidović – “I Found You”
  10. ToMa – “In the Darkness”
  11. Elis Lovrić – “No War”
  12. Ella Orešković – “If You Go Away”
  13. Tia – “Voli me do neba” (eng.:Love me to heaven)
  14. Mia Dimšić – “Guilty Pleasure”

Additionally, the winning song may no longer undergo a major revamp. This means that the song that wins Dora in February 2022 will, outside of minor modifications, be the exact song that performs at Eurovision. Previously it was announced that Dora will stay in Opatija till at least 2024.
