🇩🇪 Germany’s Michael Schulte releases up-tempo new single “For A Second”

It’s Friday which means it’s time for some more new single releases from our favourite Eurovision stars of the past. Today, Germany’s 2018 Eurovision star Michael Schulte has released his brand-new single “For A Second”.

Creating the track

The track has been created by Michael Schulte himself alongside Patrick Pyke Salmy, Ricardo Munoz, Timothy Deal & Andreas Herbig. For those Eurovision fans only familiar with You Let Me Walk Alone, the up-tempo “For A Second” marks a change in sound for what you may expect from Schulte.

Michael rose to fame internationally after finishing in fourth place at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in the Portuguese capital city of Lisbon with “You Let Me Walk Alone”. The result became Germany’s second-best result of the decade with only Lena’s victory in 2010 with “Satellite” finishing higher.

Schulte’s 2020 Eurovision appearance

The German singer-songwriter also made an appearance during this May’s Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light. During the show, which was the replacement for the cancelled 2020 Eurovision Song Contest, Schulte duetted with Ilse DeLange who herself placed second in the 2014 contest as member of Dutch country music project The Common Linnets. They performed a cover of Ein Bisschen Frieden (A Little Peace), the winning entry of the 1982 Eurovision Song Contest for German singer Nicole.
