The winners of this year’s Eurovision public vote, KEiiNO, have announced early this morning a six date tour of the land Down Under.
Our Eurovision friends in Australia would have been pleased to hear news today that the Norwegian trio KEiiNO will be performing on their shores!
The supergroup from Norway topped the public vote at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, and have been in popular demand ever since.
KEiiNO have been performing in intimate and larger gigs across Europe since Tel Aviv, and will be coming to London to perform at the upcoming Eurofest in November.
But now the trio of Alexandra, Fred and Tom have decided to take their music further afield – all the way to Australia!
The band teased an Australian themed announcement yesterday, posting a picture of a Kangaroo on Facebook that asked fans to keep their eyes peeled. And in a Facebook post earlier today, the group announced a six date tour of the country,
The tour commences on October 30th in Brisbane and passing through Adelaide and Sydney before finishing in Melbourne the following month.
A second Facebook post contained all the links to each of the venues and dates, which will go live on Tuesday September 17th. KEiiNO also wrote that “tickets are strictly limited so get in quick to secure your tickets!”
KEiiNO follow in the footsteps of previous Eurovision contestants Eye Cue and Conchita Wurst, who have both performed live in Australia. Wurst notably headlined Sydney’s Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras party in 2016.
KEiiNO’s announcement comes hot-off-the-heels of SBS announcing that Australia Decides will return to the Gold Coast in 2020 to choose their contestant for Rotterdam. It seems Eurovision has got it’s hold on the Australians!
To KEiiNO fans and our readers in Australia, head to the band’s Facebook page for more information!
