It has been well over a year since his record-breaking finish at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest for the Czech Republic but Mikolas Josef continues to go from strength to strength. This week, he celebrates his latest single “Acapella” hitting #1 in the Czech radio charts!

As he revealed on Instagram below, make sure to swipe right to the next photo, “Acapella” featuring Fito Blanko and Frankie J has knocked Alvaro Soler’s “La Libertad” off the #1 spot. In addition, he has held off the challenge from global stars Jonas Brothers, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello and Ava Max.
Get closer to Mikolas on his tour
It’s been an exciting week for Mikolas with tickets for his “Closer to You” tour going on sale. He’ll be hitting four cities, culminating in a concert in the Czech capital city of Prague.
An acoustic Acapella
Furthermore, Mikolas will soon be releasing an acoustic (nearly acapella!) version of “Acapella”. Stay tuned to his YouTube channel for the release of this special version of the track!
From strength to strength
Mikolas made his first appearance on the international music scene with his hit “Lie To Me”. It has approximately 30 million plays on Spotify and hit the top 20 in the global iTunes ranking. Not only that, but it hit the top 10 in many countries around the world following his 6th place finish in Lisbon at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest.
His next single, ‘Me Gusta’, premiered in front of 17,000 viewers in Madrid which attracted many fans from the UK, Israel and Spain amongst many others. “Abu Dhabi” reached the top spot in the YouTube Trending Chart and scored over 1 million views in only 3 days from people in over 130 countries. Now, “Acapella” is approaching 8 million views on YouTube and is on track to become Mikolas’ most viewed video yet!
