The Eurovision Song Contest gave a new twist to many young artists’ lifes. Laura Tesoro is one of them! Since her participation for Belgium in 2016, her career has progressed like a fast train and scores one hit after the other. On Friday, 13 September, she releases her new single “Limits.”
Vacation is over, back to work!
After a well-deserved vacation in Greece, together with her boyfriend Jordan, Laura Tesoro soon started working with her music again. It may be Friday the thirteenth, but that is anything but bad luck for her. She is launched her brand new single, ‘Limits’.
There is even more news! Laura adds that fans who buy her new single have a chance to win an exclusive showcase with new music. Will she release very first full album soon? That rumor goes around now! Laura has already scored quite a lot of hits in Belgium, but she has never released an album yet.
Laura Tesoro at Eurovision Song Contest 2016
In January 2016, Flemish broadcaster VRT chose Laura Tesoro via the Eurosong 2016-preselection. With her ‘What’s The Pressure’ she represented Belgium in Stockholm. Although she dangled at the bottom of the personal rankings and betting odds at that time, she managed to silence her haters during the first rehearsal. With an energetic act and shiny outfit she won multiple hearts in Europe and Australia.
She performed last in a very strong second semifinal. After that she managed to lead Belgium for the third time in the Eurovision history to the grand final. From closing in the semifinals to the opener of the grand final. Laura Tesoro was the first to enter the podium during the final in Stockholm. Despite the rather unfavourable draw, she still achieved a very beautiful tenth place.
The artistic life continues
Laura Tesoro is only 23 years old, but already has a lot of experience in the showbiz world. Both as a singer and actress, she already had a lot of great opportunities. She was successful with songs such as ‘Higher’, ‘Beast’, ‘Mutual’, ‘Up’ and ‘Thinking About You All The Time’. That year she also gave her voice to Vaiana in the Flemish version of the Disney film Vaiana and to Princess Poppy in Trolls.
Since 13 February, 2019 she plays the role of Sarah in the successful musical ’40-’45. Later she was also one of the participants in the music program Liefde Voor Muziek at VTM. Various artists from Belgium and the Netherlands come together, during the episodes they cover each other’s best-known and less-known songs. It was already the fourth season of the program, this year Ilse DeLange was also there.
