Tonight Israel chose their Eurovision 2022 representative at The X Factor. After three exciting rounds, we have a winner. Michael Ben David will represent Israel in Turin with “I.M”!
The X Factor Israel: results
- Michael Ben David – I.M – 118 + 46 + 50 = 214 points
- Eli Huli – Blinded Dreamers – 95 + 60 + 58 = 213 points
- Inbal Bibi – Marionette – 87 + 44 + 42 = 173 points
Before the last deciding round, one of the finalists Sapir Saban was eliminated. In the final, she had the song “Breaking My Own Walls”. Michael Ben David was the favourite of the Israeli public, while the jury and the professional committee gave their highest points to Eli Huli.
At first all four finalists had two potential Eurovision entries and last Thursday one song for each artist was selected to tonight’s The X Factor final. In the final, the result was determined by the audience (50% of the vote), the judges (25% of the vote) and the professional committee (25% of the vote).
Israel will compete in the second semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. Michael Ben David is set to perform on the first half of the show on May 12th.
