As we previously reported, there are two possible dates SVT are looking at to host the contest next year in Sweden. Those are May 11th and May 18th according to the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet. Today, global Superstar Taylor Swift announced her international tour dates for her record breaking “The Eras Tour”, which she will bring to several countries in 2024 – also to Swedens Friends Arena… on May 18th. Ruling out a possible Grand Final for that weekend in Swedens biggest arena!
No Grand Final in Friends Arena on May 18th
With Taylor Swift announcing her dates for her European stops today, the show on May 17th (with the possibility to add more dates for the weekend) rules out a Grand Final in Stockholms Friends Arena for May 18th. This means according to the rumored possible dates this leaves May 11th as the only option for Stockholms Friends Arena or is the contest going to Malmö or Gothenburg?
The Eras Tour
Since March Taylor Swift is touring her “Eras Tour” in the United States. The 52 shows sold out in minutes. According to Ticketmaster the demand for the tickets to her tour could have filled over 900 stadiums. Her south America dates that went on sale just last week showed the same demand. More than one million people in the virtual queue for each date. Ticket for the European Dates will go on sale soon and one thing will be sure, this will be the hottest ticket available.
