Russia to select their Junior Eurovision act on September 24

Who will follow Anna's footsteps in Gliwice-Silesia?

After moving the national selection from June to September, Karusel has now confirmed that the Russian participant for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 will be selected on September 24.

11 Acts to compete for the win

After holding live auditions in April, the 11 acts that will compete for the chance to represent Russia in Gliwice-Silesia have been confirmed. The participants will consist of nine soloists, a duo and a group.

The Russian entry will be selected through a mixture of online voting and a jury vote. The online voting will open five days before the show and will end the day before the competition.

Russia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018

After undertaking a national final to select their representative in Minsk, Russia selected Anna Filipchuk to represent them in Belarus with her song ‘Unbreakable‘, after she garnered the most votes from the televote and the juries combined.

In Minsk, Anna placed tenth at the competition, thus, continuing Russia’s continuous placing within the top ten. She managed to place 11th in the jury vote with 60 points and 7th in the online vote with 62 points.
