KEiiNO puts a modern twist to Freestyle's hit

A modern twist to an 80’s hit.

Vill Ha Dig, which translates to “I Want You” is a hit in the Scandinavian countries, and has also managed highly when it was released. This is not the first time that the hit song was covered by a Eurovision artist. 2012 Eurovision winner Loreen covered the song when she participated in Swedish Idol in 2004.

The original version by Freestyle is mostly synthpop and disco based, as opposed to KEiiNO’s version, which still has the pop element, but makes use of electronic music. Combine this with Tom and Alexandra’s harmonies and energetic take on the track, you are sure to bop along. However, you cannot miss Fred’s rap, which is surprisingly a refreshingly modern addition to the track.

New Single and New Tour ahead!

As well as releasing their new single, KEiiNO has also announced a new tour, with dates throughout Norway, as well as announcing dates for Australia this November. KEiiNO is also due to appear at the next Eurofest on November 8.

I started watching Eurovision ever since I moved to the UK in 2006, obsessed since 2012 and haven't looked back since.
