TuralTuranX release their Eurovision 2023 entry “Tell Me More”

With only a few more days before the deadline, Azerbaijan’s representatives TuralTuranX have released their song “Tell Me More” today on March 13th. At 16:00 CET, the song had it’s official premiere on the Eurovision Youtube channel. The release marks as the 35th song that has been released for the contest in Liverpool in May, with just two more to go later this week!

“Tell Me More”

“Tell Me More” is sung fully in English, and it is composed by an entire Azeri team, which is quite rare. The last time this happened was back in 2008 with “Day After Day”. “Tell Me More” is written by Tural and Turan themselves, with some arrangements made by Nihad Aliyev.

The song tells a story of someone who wants to know how his (ex-) lover feels how about them and their relationship. It has a relaxed singer-songwriter type of feel, with a bit of spoken word in the middle.

TuralTuranX will be performing in the second half of the first semi-final on May 9th.

Azerbaijan in Eurovision

Azerbaijan first entered Eurovision in 2008. They have been a regular participant since, winning once in 2011 with “Running Scared”.

Last year, Azerbaijan finished 16th in the Grand Final with 106 points. Their dark ballad “Fade To Black”, performed by Nadir Rustamli, was a big hit with the juries, scoring 103 points. It received only 3 points from the public. This was the only song to ever qualify for a final without scoring a single point in the televote in the semi final, meaning under the new voting system, it would not have qualified.
