Another week comes to an end and that means it’s New Music Friday! So it’s time to share the best new releases from the Eurovision world, and they’re busier than ever as the door on the 2023 season opens. Over the following pages is everything you need to know for your weekend playlists!
Rosa Linn, Duncan Laurence – ‘WDIA (Would Do It Again)’
First up on New Music Friday are two of Eurovision’s biggest streaming exports of recent contests. Earlier this year, Rosa Linn snapped her way to global success to become the third most streamed Eurovision entry of all time… so far! Now she teams up with ‘Arcade’ sensation, Duncan Laurence who owns top spot as Eurovision’s most streamed entry. Together they explore the feelings of loss and emptiness post-breakup in ‘WDIA (Would Do It Again)’, a heartfelt back and forth duet.
Kalush Orchestra, The Rasmus – ‘In The Shadows of Ukraine’
Obviously collaborations are on trend this week. After meeting in Turin and performing together, the bands decided to unite Ukraine and Finland with the sounds of Kalush Orchestra’s traditional folk-rock and The Rasmus’ contemporary rock, on this updated version of The Rasmus’ popular track, ‘In The Shadows’. However this new take uses the meaning of the original composition to shed light into those shadows of what is happening in Ukraine, to spread a message through the global reach music has beyond borders and genres.
We were glad to reunite with The Rasmus and work together with these cool musicians. We appreciate their music and their support of Ukraine. And they are such sincere and open people.

Subwoolfer ft. Luna Ferrari – ‘Howling’
After achieving a top 10 result for Norway in Turin, everyone’s favourite yellow wolves are back and this time the duo become a trio! Following the release of summer hit, ‘Melocoton (The Donka Donk Song)‘ comes ‘Howling’ to take us from the Summer into spooky season. Clearly trick or treating made it to the dark side of the moon, as Keith and Jim treat us with the introduction of their sister, Luna Ferrari. This catchy bop will get all the Halloween parties started.
We Are Domi – ‘Alive’
As the Czech delegation tease what’s to come in Liverpool next May, this years’ representatives We Are Domi remind us of the quality that achieved another Grand Final placing for the Eurovision underdogs. ‘Alive’ is an electronics-soaked anthem about freedom of expression and living in the moment without a care in the world, because life is too short for hang ups.
