🇬🇧 BBC will air Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light live on BBC One

Initially, it was reported that the BBC would relegate Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light to BBC iPlayer in favour of their own “Come Together” show on May 16th. Nevertheless, following yesterday’s revelation that “Come Together” would not clash with “Europe Shine A Light”, the BBC has confirmed that BBC One will air both shows back-to-back.

More than four hours of Eurovision programming on 16 May

In addition to the two main shows, over on BBC Two the British broadcaster will air two further Eurovision-related shows. First up at 10pm BST, a brand-new Rylan Clark-Neal-narrated show entitled “The A to Z of Eurovision”. Afterwards, the broadcaster will repeat a previously-aired “Top of the Pops Goes Eurovision” show, featuring live performances of previous Eurovision entries on the BBC’s iconic music show.

The announcement is sure to delight Eurovision fans who were disappointed in the initial reports that the BBC would not air the official Eurovision replacement show “Eurovision: Europe Shine A Light” on television. Indeed, it will be a pleasure to see the BBC dedicate an entire night of programming to the Eurovision Song Contest!
