🇦🇲 Armenia confirms Eurovision 2020 participation

Armenian broadcaster AMPTV has confirmed today that they will take part in Eurovision 2020 in Rotterdam.

40 countries confirmed so far

Armenia’s confirmation means that 40 countries have confirmed participation for Eurovision 2020 so far.

AMPTV has yet to confirm how they will select their entry. In previous years, they have internally selected and used their national selection Depi Evratesil.

Having failed to qualify to the final two years in a row, it might be thought that a new approach will be taken by the broadcaster to ensure that this does not happen for a third time.

Armenia in Eurovision

Armenia made their Eurovision debut in 2006, having participated every year since with the exception of 2012.

Their best results come from 2008 and 2014 where both Sirusho and Aram Mp3 finished fourth respectively.

Most recently, 2019 marked their worst result to date. Srbuk represented Armenia in Israel and failed to qualify, finishing 16th in the semi final.

Who would you like to see represent Armenia next year? Let us know in the comments.
