Benjamin Ingrosso composes title track for K-Pop group Got7’s new album “Call My Name”

The Swedish multi-talent composes yet another song for a popular K-Pop group!

After previously having worked on the song “Bye My First…” for NCT Dream alongside Livvi Franc and Louis Schoor, Benjamin Ingrosso now co-composed a song for popular K-Pop group Got7.

Returning to K-Pop

After working on “Bye My First…” for NCT, Benjamin Ingrosso has now teamed up with fellow composers David Brook, Marco Borrero, and Louis Schoorl. Together, they composed the song “니가 부르는 나의 이름 (You Calling My Name)”, which is set to be the title song of Got7’s new EP “Call My Name”. Producer of the song is MAG, who is known to Eurovision fans as one of the writers of Benjamins Eurovision entry “Dance You Off”.

However, Benjamin only composed the song, as it was written by some of the members of Got7. The whole EP “Call My Name” is out today, November 4th!

But Benjamin isn’t the first Eurovision artist to participate in the making of a song for a K-Pop group. Last year, Krista Siegfrids worked with AOA on their song “Bingle Bangle”, as we interviewed her about it back in January.

Who are Got7?

Got7 is a Korean boy group consisting of 7 members, JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam and Yugyeom. They were formed in 2014 by K-Pop empire JYP Entertainment and have since released several albums and EPs, making them one of the most successful K-Pop groups in the world.

After winning Melodifestivalen 2018, Benjamin went on to represent Sweden in Portugal with his song “Dance You Off”. He finished 2nd in the semi-final and 7th overall in the grand final. Afterwards, Benjamin released his debut album “Identification” and has taken part in several writing projects.
