A song in Latvian?
It can be said that the Eurovision fandom takes pleasure in seeing Markus Riva on the Supernova stage each year. After this best to date placing last year – runner up, he tells Skaties.lv that he is not yet ready to give up his Eurovision dreams.
“Yes, I do have ideas for Eurovision, and I am not ready to give up – I think people have understood year after year that Markus won’t be a quitter.
But yes, very soon I will have a song in Latvian, and the song ” Kamēr vien mēs esam” (Whilst we are alone) with Dinara Rudane is doing well. It’s joyful to see that the duo is doing so well, we’ve got many requests for next year’s wedding season to perform the song, asking if they can dance to the song.

Markus has performed several songs at Supernova, often with mixed results, but has yet failed to win and represent Latvia at Eurovision.
He claims that he is excited with the talent at Latvia’s X-Factor, which has previously seen Supernova stars such as Adriana Miglane, Edgars Kreilis and Aivo Oskis.
It would not come as a surprise to see Markus Riva attempt to represent Latvia once again. Perhaps, 2020 will be his lucky year – we will find out on 8 February 2020 when the Supernova final will be held for the sixth time in Latvia’s capital.
