A brief (I do mean brief) history.
As previously mentioned Depi Evratesil was used twice. Once in 2017 when it was held in late 2016. This format was only used to select the singer. This was won by Artsvik. She then went on to sing “Fly With Me. She qualified for the final in Seventh-Place. In the final she managed to come in Eighteenth-Place with 78 points, this was at the time the third worst result for them.
In 2018 it was used again with a more traditional format of the song and artist coming as a package with two Semi-Finals and one Grand Final. This was won by Sevak Khanagyan with the song “Qami”. He did’t qualify for the final furthermore this was only Armenia’s second non qualification at the time. He came in Fifteenth-Place with 79 points. This was their worst ever result at the contest.
