Entries revealed for OGAE Video Contest 2019

Following Mikolas Josef’s win in 2018 with “Me Gusta”, the OGAE Video Contest is back for 2019 as the entries have now been revealed.

The participants

This is, of course, not to be confused with the OGAE Song Contest which is currently underway. The 17th OGAE Video Contest is being organised by OGAE Czech Republic, where 25 entries will compete to win.

OGAE clubs do not necessarily have to send songs in the official language of their country, however, the song and official music video must have been released in the last 12 months.

The entries are as follows:

  7. Cyprus: Anna Vissi & Yiota Yianna – Ósoi agapáne den pethaínoune
  8. Italy: Mahmood – Barrio
  9. Belgium: Loïc Nottet – On Fire
  10. Rest of the World: Panic! At The Disco – High Hopes
  11. Bulgaria: Alma – Perfect
  12. North Macedonia: Robert Bilbilov – Cudni Mesta
  13. Germany: Michael Schulte – Never Let You Down
  14. Serbia: Danijela Karić & Elena Risteska – Srca gets pogreše
  15. Hungary: Lotfi Begi & Irie Maffia – Friends

OGAE clubs will now have time to vote for their favourites until 1 December. The results will be announced by the end of this year.

Last year, Mikolas Josef won for the Czech Republic with his song “Me Gusta”, achieving 132 points.
