Hooverphonic comes to Amsterdam!
The Belgians were the first to announce their candidate for Eurovision 2020. Now they are also the first name on the Eurovision in Concert line-up! That announced the organization of the pre-party on Monday, 11 November.
Although Hooverphonic was announced so early, they have not revealed much about the song. The only thing we currently know is that the song will be sung in English, and the band would like string instruments in the song. So we will have to wait until February to hear the song. Biggest pre-party of the season
On 4 April, 2020 it’s that time again! Eurovision in Concert is now in its 12th edition. Around 20 participating countries go to the Dutch capital Amsterdam every year. There they meet the biggest Eurovision fans and they already perform their entry. That way they can already try to conquer the first hearts.
Cornald Maas & Edsilia Rombley revealed as hosts
Next year Cornald Maas will again take on the presentation. Every year an ex-eurovision participant accompanies him on stage. That honor is reserved for Edsilia Rombley in 2020. She represented the Netherlands twice, in 1998 she finished nicely fourth with ‘Hemel en Aarde’. Unfortunately her second participation was less successful. In 2007 she did not make it to the final with ‘On Top Of The World’. Eurovision in Concert will be the second edition that Edsilia and Cornald will present together. The two already did it together in 2018.

Amsterdam Calling 2020
Those who think that one Eurovision party is not enough can turn it into a Eurovision weekend! Amsterdam Calling takes place a day before Eurovision in Concert. A smaller-scale party with former participants, organized every year by OGAE Netherlands. They also have already announced their first name. None other than Krista Siegfrids will present Amsterdam Calling 2020.
