Welcome to the second to last episode of ‘Junior Eurovision back in time’! Today we look back at the edition of 2017. After three wins, Georgia finally took the chance to host the kids contest in their capital Tbilisi. What do you remember from this edition?

Participating countries

Georgia welcomed 16 countries in its capital. We’ve had two withdrawals, Bulgaria and Israel. On the other hand, we also had one returnee! After winning the adult Eurovision, Portugal found back its motivation to particpate in the Junior Eurovision.

Polina wins Junior Eurovision 2017

And that marks the second victory for Russia! Polina won with a total of 188 points. She received 122 points from the jury. It contained 12 times four points, and they came from Australia, Georgia, Northern Macedonia and Portugal. In addition to the jury’s points, Russia also received 66 points from the online voting.
