Rehearsing today for Australia inside the Gliwice Arena is Jordan Anthony, performing “We Will Rise”. As the first rehearsals are closed to the press, this review is based upon content made public by the EBU and TVP.
VISUALS: Australia’s visuals are really interesting, including multiple figures in a graphical style, with one figure holding what looks to be a heart. The rest of the rehearsal clip includes several distinctive patterns.
VOCALS: It is no surprise, given Jordan’s experience in The Voice Australia, that the young singer demonstrates vocal flair. His falsetto is particularly strong in the rehearsal clip. I feel that this will very much be a song that comes alive
CHOREO/PERFORMANCE: Jordan begins the song at the centre of the stage, alone with a grand piano which he plays while singing. As the performance continues, four backing dancers enter the stage, moving to the message of the song.
Stay tuned for our reviews for the rest of today’s rehearsals from the Gliwice Arena. If you want to know what to expect for the rest of the day, check out our rehearsal schedule.
