Rehearsing today for North Macedonia inside the Gliwice Arena is Mila Moskov, performing “Fire”. As the first rehearsals are closed to the press, this review is based upon content made public by the EBU and TVP.
Mila performs “Fire” alone on stage, dressed in a black jumpsuit with orange fabric attached to her to provide that fiery element to her costume. North Macedonia’s LED backdrop begins with images of a tree in a dark landscape, it feels almost reminiscent of the “Whomping Willow” for the Harry Potter fans out there.
The LED zooms in on this fireball at the centre of the tree which explodes as Mila sings the chorus. The version of the track Mila is performing in Gliwice has extra lines in Macedonian in order to fit the contest’s rules and we hear these changes in the post-chorus in the clip.
We also get our first glimpse of pyrotechnics in the Gliwice Arena as air cannons combine with the bold fire graphics on the backdrop!
Stay tuned for our reviews for the rest of today’s rehearsals from the Gliwice Arena. If you want to know what to expect for the rest of the day, check out our rehearsal schedule.
