One of the most popular national selections will soon announce his line-up! SVT announced on Instagram that they will announce the candidates for the 60th Melodifestivalen on Tuesday 26 November. Are we excited?
Press conference to follow on Instagram
As the Melodifestivalen page announced on Instagram, a press conference will take place on Tuesday, November 26, at noon. The three presenters David, Lina and Linnea will speak to the press and announce the 28 candidates + song titles. If you are just as curious about the candidates as we are, don’t forget to tune in on the Instagram page of Melodifestivalen, because the press conference will be live there.
We kindly remind you that one of those 28 acts is already known. Eight acts competed in the final of P4 Nästa, broadcast live from Linköping Konsert & Kongress on radio and Amanda Aasa was chosen to compete at Melodifestivalen 2020 in February.

On 3 September, SVT came very unexpectedly with the happy news that Melodifestivalen 2020 will receive three presenters. Linnea Hendrix, Lina Hedlund and David Sundin at your service!

Even now, Sweden will maintain the tradition of having every show take place in a different city.
The cities and dates for Melodifestivalen 2019 are as follows:
- Linköping – Semi Final 1 – 1 February
- Gothenburg – Semi Final 2 – 8 February
- Luleå – Semi Final 3 – 15 February
- Malmö – Semi Final 4 – 22 February
- Eskilstuna – Second Chance – 29 February
- Stockholm – Final – 7 March
