Gliwice-Silesia 2019🇵🇱 Poland

🇵🇱 Junior Eurovision completely home grown!

Made by Poles for Poles

The broadcaster responsible for the organisation of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and with addition, the broadcaster responsible for the Polish entry for their own contest, TVP has revealed that the team that have organised the contest since January contains no foreign members in the organisation committee. Therefore is exclusively made up of Polish talent.

The contest will take part in Gliwice-Silesia on this coming Sunday (24th November)

A change of plan.

In the past 5 editions of the contest, so since 2014, the contest has had some level of foreign involvement among the native teams. This has meant the dismissal of Maltese show director Gordon Bonello, who first directed the contest since 2014 when the contest was hosted in Marsa, Malta.

This isn’t the first time the contest, especially the junior variation has had foreign involvement at some level of the organisation and planning. In 2010 and 2011 when many nations did not have High Definition broadcasting capabilities the Swedish broadcaster SVT helped provide technical equipment to allow Belarus and Armenia broadcast the competition on HD.
