Eurovision 2020🇨🇭 Switzerland

🇨🇭 Swiss artist and song to be revealed in March 2020

Who will follow Luca Hänni's footsteps?

On Monday, Swiss Eurovision fansite douzepoints.ch asked Swiss Head of Delegation, about the selection process for Switzerland in Eurovision 2020.

Back in September, SRF confirmed that it has received 515 public submissions to represent the landlocked country in Rotterdam. These songs are in the process of being filtered through a music expert jury and an audience panel. Peritz didn’t reveal much about the sounds, styles, composers or even acts involved – but did say the broadcaster was very happy with the excellent quality of submissions. He did, however, state that by the end of the year the broadcaster intends to publish interviews with people from both the expert jury and audience panel(s). Most importantly, both the song and act will be revealed to us all in March 2020.

Luca Hänni was announced on the 7th March 2019, so we can guess the Swiss broadcaster is following a similar timeline for 2020!

Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019

In 2019, Switzerland internally selected Luca Hänni with the song ‘She Got Me‘. The song was co-written by Luca himself along with Laurell Barker, Frazer Mac, Jon Hällgren and Lukas Hällgren.

In Tel Aviv, Switzerland participated at the second semi-final. and Luca  qualify for the Grand Final. This gave Switzerland it’s first appearance on Saturday night for five years. Luca managed to finish fourth overall with 364 Points.
