The Croatian broadcaster – Hrvatska radiotelevizija (HRT) – has announced that Uršula Tolj will be the new Head of Delegation going into the 2020 Contest.
Uršula Tolj has previously been the Producer of Dora, the national final used when Croatia ops for a public selection. She was first involved in broadcast media back in 1993, where she worked at Radio Rijeka. She has worked for HRT since 1996. In addition to her experience in behind the camera, she has also worked as a presenter. Similarly, she has also written several children’s books.
The appointment comes after a wave of participating countries having a shift in delegation lineup. This includes the likes of France, Germany, Italy and Czech Republic.
Croatia at Eurovision 2019
In Tel Aviv, Croatia was represented by Roko with the song ‘The Dream’. The song served as the first to be selected by Dora since 2011. Despite a strong vocal performance, Roko only managed to come 14th in the semi-final with 64 points.
