RESULTS: Who is leading after Round 2 of Eurovision Prediction 2020?

There's a 24-way tie for first place!

In what ended up being a *surprise* speed round after having just over a week’s notice that the final would take place this week…170 of you took part in Round 2 of Eurovision Prediction 2020! This time, it was your task to predict who you thought would win the Georgian Idol final. On New Years Eve, Tornike Kipiani won the Georgian ticket to Rotterdam.

Calculating your points!

As we revealed prior to Tuesday evening’s final, the most popular answer amongst our players in this round by far was Tornike Kipiani. Unlike in Round 1, the majority won and he won the televote over his three rivals! This time, following the pack paid off, and 141 of you got full points this round! Since 10 of you FORGOT TO VOTE, 24 players are now battling for first place.

As stated in the rules, when full rankings of the participating entries are revealed during the live broadcast, we use the full extent of our scoring system. Therefore, predicting the winning entry earns you 4 points as there were 4 finalists. Predicting the runner-up earns you 3 points and so on.

Here is the scoreboard!

So what does this mean for the scoreboard? Well, with the majority of our players opting for the incorrect answer, we have 37 out of 225 players tied for the top spot! A special mention to Vasos A whose prediction of Sara Bajraktarimade him the only player to be on 10 points!

See where you stand and have a look at the scoreboard below in all of its glory!

Stay tuned for Round 3!

Thank you to everyone who took part in Round 2. We hope you have all now recovered from the crushing loss of Elvana in Round 1! Stay tuned for Round 3, which we expect to open by January 13th, when voting for the Czech national selection opens!

Ever since I saw Helena Paparizou's triumph at Eurovision in 2005 (at the tender age of 6), I have been crazy about Eurovision. From the regional native language bops and shrieky female-led balladry to the sophisticated avant garde pop songs and chart-friendly EDM, I love everything about this cultural phenomenon. I'm currently working as a Delivery Manager in a software development team.
