Tonight, the first Semi-Final of Melodi Grand Prix took place tonight. In the first Semi-Final, artists from Southern Norway competed for a spot in the Grand Final of Melodi Grand Prix. After a series of duels, it was confirmed that Raylee won the first Semi-Final.
How the act was selected in tonight’s show?
The winner of tonight’s show was selected in a series of duels. The four acts first competed in two duels, to then determine the final two. (The act that won the duel is highlighted in Bold)

- Lisa Børud – Talking About Us
- Kim André Rysstad – Rainbow
- Raylee – Wild
In addition to the duels taking place tonight, pre-qualified participant Sondrey also performed his entry ‘Take My Time’. Melodi Grand Prix will continue its search for their 2020 Eurovision entry next Saturday, where artists from Eastern Norway compete for a spot in the Grand Final.
Norway at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019
Norway selected KEiiNO through their national selection ‘Melodi Grand Prix’ to represent them in Tel Aviv with their song ‘Spirit in the Sky’.
In Tel Aviv, KEiiNO managed to bring Norway to the Grand Final for a third consecutive year. The group managed to win the popular vote and placed sixth overall in the competition with 331 points.
