To Australian fans, she is known for winning the X Factor in Australia with her impressive voice. For many Eurovision fans, she is known as the glistening singer who still holds the honour of having Australia’s best placed entry: The Sound of Silence. However, next month Dami Im will be testing her talents on the dance floor competing in this years Australian ‘Dancing with the Stars’!
Confirming the news on her social media, Dami expressed her excitement – and nervousness – at taking part in the upcoming season, which premieres on Sunday 9th February. Dami will be paired with professional dancer Shae Mountain.
However, Dami is not the only link to Eurovision in this years DWTS lineup. Chloe Lattanzi, daughter of Olivia Newton-John (United Kingdom 1974) will also be taking part. Last year, fresh from her performance at Australia Decides, Courtney Act took the competition by storm. The drag queen and Rupaul’s Drag Race alum consistently topped the weekly leaderboard – eventually coming in second overall!
